Hold on to your cash for emergencies or for fun with our Skip-A-Pay program. For a low $35 fee, you can apply to postpone the due date of one loan payment any time of the year. 

Eligibility
  • $35 processing fee per loan skipped
  • IMPORTANT: Funds must be available in your HCCU account at least 24 hours prior to applying or loans will not be eligible for skip-a-pay
  • IMPORTANT: The next due date of the loan must be between 2 and 60 days for the loan to appear as eligible in the Skip-A-Pay portal
  • A-C tiers only
  • Consumer loans (excluding real estate and Open-end loans)
  • No late payments in the last 6 months and no 60/90 days late in the last 12 months
  • Loan must be at least 6 months old with at least 6 on time payments applied to the loan 
  • One skip per loan within a 12-month period
  • Modified loans are not eligible
  • Borrowers who have filed for bankruptcy protection or loans in bankruptcy are not eligible

Skip-A-Pay FAQ

WHAT IS THE SKIP-A-PAY PROGRAM?

Heritage Community Credit Unions (HCCU) Skip-A-Pay Program allows you to skip one monthly payment in a 12-month period on certain loans. Those payments are then added to the end of your loan term. This program does not impact your credit rating.

 

IS THERE A FEE?

There is a $35 fee per skip, per loan. This fee must be available in your HCCU account that contains the loan at least 24 hours prior to applying in order to qualify. If funds are not available in your account with us it will impact your loans eligibility.

 

HOW DOES PARTICIPATING IN THE SKIP-A-PAY PROGRAM AFFECT MY LOAN?

The skipped payment will be added to the end of your loan, extending the loan term. Interest will continue to accrue during the month skipped.

 

WHAT IF I HAVE AUTOMATIC PAYMENTS FROM MY HCCU ACCOUNT SET UP?

If you have automatic payments from your HCCU account, we will modify that for you for the month you’ve requested to skip.

 

WHAT IF I PAY MY LOAN THROUGH BILL PAY?

If you use HCCU’s Bill Pay or Bill Pay from another financial institution, you’ll need to log into Bill Pay to stop and restart the payment yourself. Don’t forget to turn it back on after your skip!

 

HOW OFTEN CAN I SKIP A PAYMENT?

You may skip any eligible loan once in a 12-month period.

 

WHAT IF I DON’T SEE MY LOAN LISTED WHEN I TRY TO APPLY FOR A SKIP-A-PAY?
